What's your recurve arrow speed ?

After buying a chrono I'm interested in how fast other archers outdoor arrows are going when leaving the bow . I made a few changes to my setup (I'm shooting heavier points and string this year) and am getting 206fps with stable arrow flight with good groups at 90 and 70.

Don't know yet, so I haven't voted. I am hoping to borrow, or get use of a chrono at some point just to get a fixed point for comparison.

Perhaps people who post their values might also post a very short summary of their equipment, so we can make some rough comparisons. I guess the useful info would be

limb manufacturer/model/rated poundage

poundage on the fingers,

draw length

arrow type, spine, point weight

riser (?probably not needed, but may be interesting)

That would be great if archers are happy to do that.

Last time I checked (April 2006), I was getting a consistent 206fps from outdoor setup. I'm hoping to get some X10 410's this season that I will hopefully get around 210-215fps from.

Chrono shows 218 with my Carbon Express 3d Selects. They tune a bit stiff, so would go up a bit, but I can't pull the extra weight.

Last time I checked it was around 214/216 what a difference a poor release can make (2fps). 42lb on fingers ACE520's 29.5" 90g points bow and limbs as above.

Need to borrow the clubs chrono I think. My draw is about 29" with 46# draw with 500 x10's with 120grain points. I doubt very much I will make 200fps. I struggle to make 90mts. Well i did the last time I tried.

for those that are interested :- have shot 29" ace 520's for years, 68" x 42LB on the fingers. my Border ML2 limbs came out at 204 ft per second. i bought some G3's and had trouble with 90mtr / 100 yd. sight marks. and also long distance grouping. they came out at 195 ft per second. i now shoot winex they are coming out at 208 ft per second. and grouping well at long distance..

I had a similar experience, I had some 38lb Border TX40 Gold and wanted to move up in weight. There were no Borders availabe, so bought some 40lb G3s, which turned out to be slower by 2 ft/sec
