How far will you travel to shoot this summer?

I started thinking about this tonight as I'm up to my ears in entry forms, SAE's, cheque books and a calendar that's covered in biro.

While my wife stares at the calendar, safe in the knowledge that another summer will pass without the garden being landscaped, I thought I'd ask how far will everyone be travelling this year (and whether anyone knows a cheap landscape gardener!).

Norwich may be the firthest I travel this year - Vegas next year

ps - I know a cheap landscape gardener....but getting him to actually turn up

Typical distance to comps, 2-3 hours drive. Six or seven hours drive to the birthday weekender in March!

Distance isn't an option..family and work ties are what determine my schedule

Looking at Skye and possibly Vegas for next year. Another venue in the LMPVMM Indoor Shootout?

Going to The Netherlands for 3 events this year Again!! though all in the same 2 week span and when there are local shoots

Holiday dictated by my work schedule I'm afraid.

We used to go to Bedford in July - now there's a drive with a caravan from Edinburgh! Also managed to Andover once - got 2 MB scores at the "Indoor" end of the field other half wasn't so happy. He actually seems to like driving his car up and down the M6. Its the long stretch, in the dark often, up the A702 that's a bit wearing.

As this is my first outdoor season and I live centrally just above Oxford Im heading east to Norfolk, Exeter to the South West and Lillishall as the furthest Northward tourny (so far anyway)! And a few forays into the Bristol and Essex areas as well.

I'm going to be concentrating on local tournaments this year. Only exception is Dunster

I`ve tried to plan myself a tourney diary (one tourney a month)
travelling no more than 2 hours, how ever club has been approached about sending a team over the channel for a comp, so i guess i could be going a bit further
