December 2005 Round Aiuk League Xmas Shoot

Quick poll to see if anyone fancies shooting a FITA 18 in December.

Distance: 18m
Target: 40cm
5 Doz. Arrows
And if you're using a long rod, it must have tinsel hanging off.....

THIS WILL REPLACE THE USUAL PORTSMOUTH LEAGUE ROUND

Please let me know if I've got the specs wrong - I've never shot a FITA 18 and haven't had chance to find out - it's one of them AIUK spur of the moment things prodded into action by Tom.

Thumbs up

I'm in - it'll make a nice change ( I've never shot one either, Dave!). I checked the spec
though and it's mostly right, but it doesn't mention the tinsel - are we to assume its GNAS green or club colours only? And does no tinsel constitute barebow?

Sorry, Marcus, it's still inner 10 for compound according to the GNAS rules of shooting!

404. Scoring
(a) The scoring points for hits on the target face are:
Zone Compound Bows Non-compound bows
Inner 10 10 10
Inner Gold 9 10
Outer Gold 9 9

OK, but I am NOT sticking with GNAS uniform rules. That can stick their bottle green where it's rather uncomfortable.

But you will have to stick with AIUK Rule 204a, Sub-Section 8, Clause 9a, Paragraph 2.4, Point 6.

"All Antipodean archers shooting the AIUK FITA 18 Xmas round (and not adhering to strict GNAS regulation dress) must do so in their briefest of shorts and sporting a comedy cow udder (to be suspended from the front of their quiver belt)"

I'm in, especially as I'm also a FITA 18 virgin, but being Welsh, I'll be bug*ered if I'm wearing a leek!
