I think we all know where we stand on this by now, but please don't infer that to do it any way other than your way is somehow less worthy of the sport.

Opinions were requested and given - thats what this place is for isn't it?

Rob, I think that you will find that such an inter-club arrangement is currently in progress across Cambs., with the first shoots due very soon. The exact format will probably vary initially but there is a group of people working on it and although I am not deeply involved, the details I have received look very positive.

Sorry I did not quote your full post but people can go back and read it in full if and I wanted to pick out the relevant section

As for Dave Williams outshooting a longbow, as talented as he is (- and he is a talented gentleman), he is too modest to ever make such a claim.

Cool I would like to see someone like this shoot, I was at the royal richmond albion last year when the longbow world record was broken I was only a target or two away looked pretty impresive....It's a shame there are longbow archers who use it as an excuse to be bad.

As we promised to keep you all up to date on themed shoot , it will most likely be June 2008
there will be 20 knights in armour battling it out in the interval ,a medieval market , a hog roast, Maybe hunting hawk demonstrations there will only be room enough for 100 archers at medieval targets on the floor starting short and getting longer it will be a knockout competition as of them days there will be prizes of a bag of golds coin for each winning archer, ladies and gents recurve and longbow and a golden arrow to the winners , there will be prizes for the best authentic dressed lady and the most authentic dressed archer , that is the up to date news so far
