our club holds an annual easter monday double clout and fun shoot
its a great laugh and fairly well attended and this year weve had TV and local newspaper coverage but were thinking about taking things a little further next year by possibly theming the event in a medieval / tudor style including fancy dress / hog roast / medieval craft market (possibly some re-enactment etc too)
so
the questions -
1 - anyone think this is a particularly good or bad idea (bearing in mind it would be intended as a bit of a laugh - think those medieval themed banquets you can book rather than serious re-enactment) ?
2 - if a similar event was close enough to you would you consider coming / coming in fancy dress to shoot medieval / tudor stylee ?
3 - if you are an archery-related craftsman (bowyer / arrow maker / leatherworker / etc) would you be interested in principle of having a stall at such an event ?
any other comments ?
thanks for your input - any comments / suggestions / warnings MUCH appreciated - if you see any
AIUK members who fit question 3 (bald eagle for example) it would be great if you could point them at the poll
