Yes, I know its a LONG bow for short arrows, but when I went to see Sid and Ann to collect the Talisman riser I was so excited I took the limbs that were ready rather than wait 12 weeks for a custom made pair!
I still get 210fps, and can reach 100yds with the sight fully extended, so the extra couple of inches doesn't matter that much.......

I find longer limbs are nicer to shoot.

Texas could be one of the best bowhunting state in the US . I shoot 3D, maybe 4 or 5 NFAA Field matches, the few IFAA matches around and lot of bowhunting.

My goto rig is



DAS 21" Elite riser (barebow), Border TXG's #36 longs (drawing 45#@28"). 8125 16 strands, Redline 520 cut bop 29.5", 125gr field points.

I used the rig to shoot the IFAA Nationals in Houston 2007 (barebow sr, yep a dang stringwalker).

This will be my rig for a 2 week elk hunt in Idaho this yr (this will be the 9th yr for hunting elk in Idaho)

Very impressed with limbs. Fast, stable and sweet to draw. These limbs were white talismans but I returned them as I was not entirely happy with the finish and Sid refinished them like TXG's, black with gold detailing, in next to no time. Also supplied a history of the limbs, they were the last of the talisman series with the tx series refinements hence the rebadging and new livery.
Once you've shot Border nothing else will do.

i recently brought a new aerotec about a month ago and dont like it one bit so i have just put all the bits on my trusty old PSE riser,think i will sell the hoyt and put the dosh to some new limbs.
