Seminar with Linecutter Archery

I received details of a seminar that is being organised by Linecutter archery featuring Border Archery.

It is being held at Brentwood County High School,Seven Arches Road, Brentwood, Essex, CM14 4JF on the 8th February

I am posting this as Schme1440 (the semi official spokesman for Linecutter archery has not raised this)

Always good to hear about seminars that may be of interest to all archers...

Only question I have is that if Schme1440 is a "semi-official" spokesman for Linecutter archery, wouldn't it be wise to have declared it in the commercial interests forum. While it is I am sure not a commercial interest, it seems wisest to declare these things, as many others have.

Hope the seminar goes well

FW

The bit about Schme1440 was just a joke,He is a member of the same club as James and it appears to me that often takes the chance to raise the profile of Linecutter archery.I am sure that Linecutter archery is not a big enough business to have a spokesperson employed.

Best wishes, Mark

Any info.

We are looking forward to meeting some of you guys and will hopefully have time to chat with Ye'all.

But the fun thing with most forums is you get an idea of what folks are like but all based on words. Putting a name to the face makes things all the more clear. We have met some of you, and we know some folks names and faces but not there AIUK name, Some we know the AIUK name and face and not your real name, and some of you we know all three, some of you we only know both your AIUK and real names but have never met.

So we can put names to faces, who is planning on being there?
This way you can introduce your selves and at least we are not starting from scratch.

I have ticket number 49 and am looking forward to the evening.

It will be interesting to find out if and how archery limbs wear out, the limbs on my Perris whitehart have worn through the dark coating on the string grooves and I know of one member of my club who has retired a set of limbs because of this.

Best wishes, Mark Huff

Not sure if thats a problem worth retiring limbs for. We have seen some limbs though the glass fiber and into the wood in the string grooves. Bring them along and make a point of letting us see them. We can hopefilly tell you if its a problem. It sounds like its just the paint thats gone though, in which case a touch of nail varnish to seal the broken paint would do.

But bring them along and we will double check, words on a forum can be very vague. Dont recomend anyone shooting suspect limbs. But for the sake of getting professional advice you could be shooting them again...

Agree with Border I use a thin coating of nail varnish on the limb groves once a year is good enough.

Black, White or clear(if white limbs) are best, pink got too many comments and the ones with sparklely bits are no good at all, also the stuff that does not need an undercoate seems more durable get the other half to explain

Hi, I'm not going but I know a lot of people from mayflower are.

Look out for Wendie (attractive lady archer) and ask her why she isn't dressed as WonderWoman. (Unless she is).
