Looking on the border website and...

Where would i be lucky enough to have a go with one of the two georgous looking risers here: Border Archery ?

(the cyclone and the mistral)

Unfortunaltly... going to Border themselves isn't really a choice

Risers

we have no more of the cyclone's in stock, nor have we any plans of replacing them.

We have some mistrals which are at a nice price as we are shifting them on.

The reason for this is we are in chats with a reputable CNC firm about a new range of risers. We are working on the designs.

The idea for the design will hopefully have a little sparkle for all types of riser lovers :-) Watch this space...

We are thinking of, 17",19",21", 23",and 25" as our 72" limbs will keep up to 34" draw lengths happy. Then we are looking at a black douglas style limb pocket which is bolt on and fixed, with a overshoe that will retro fit an ILF limb to either BD or or these metal risers....

For those that have seen the Shoe we have here, then you will have some idea as to what we plan. You can either take a Black douglas limb and fit it directly to a geometrically optimaised riser, or take any ILF limb and fiddle till your hearts content.

Oooooooooh. Time to start saving my pennies I think. Any chance of a quick look at the pocket?

I've seen the pocket prototypes a while back, and I think the idea's a winner. Watch this space

So... i could either:

1: buy/ try out a mistral and stay with a 'pure' ILF riser

2:I could save my money (over and above what i'm going to start saving for a set of Hex V's) and get this new (and rather shiny sounding) riser that isn't ILF, but isn't a pain in the a** to convert a pair of limbs to the correct fitting (read... difting stuff out etc like with the Axis) and change over riser and limbs at the same time..

or finally

3:Get/ order a set of Hex V's when i have the money, do the conversion for the Axis, shoot with them to get used to the feel and then see if i want to change risers as/ when the new Border riser is brought out
