Mark II Era

Questions about the Mark II- where did these fit into the Border line up? These are 'BC' design, correct? What years were these produced in? I note that there is a fair evolution from the grip design on these, to what you produce on today's Bladk Douglas. Any comment on this 'grip' evolution?
I own two of these, and must admit that I was always impressed with the smoothness of these bows.

The Black douglas MKII was in production before 1996. The size of the limb fittings changed to mark the change in the bows.
The MkII was the Black Doulgas. the limbs were Bjorn Bengtson Glass, Much better quality than the american made glass of the time.
They were black or brown glass with maple cores.
So yes they are "BC"

The Riser changed its grip due to more and more requests for a slimmer grip to aid hand location accuracy, and this narrower grip required some re-enforcements. This also lead to the bows being fast flight proof.
We do not recoment fast flight on any MKII bows.

They are what we based the now standing Black Douglas Original as its the 21" riser and we now have the 19" swift and the 17" ultra.
