| Now i'm not going to lie, i'm really not a fan of wooden bows as a whole, i enjoy my gadgetry and 'new' materials. ...however, with that said; this is absolutely beautiful! I wouldn't know whether to shoot it or put it in security grade perspex on a pedestal! Congratulation John and indeed once again another pat on the back for Border! |

| If it makes you feel better, the woods are a bit technical. They are Heritage Red and Heritage Black, which come in enormously heavy blocks. They consist of very thin laminates of wood compressed together and injected with coloured resin. The material is weighty (thanks Flying Whale), stiff and very strong. So the bow itself feels much heavier in the hand than you might expect, which suits me perfectly.Last edited by JohnK; 06-02-08 at 10:02 PM.. |

One of my biggest complaints when shooting such bows has been they feel uncomfortable light in the hand, sounds like an absolute gem all in all. Once again congratulations and i'd wager it'll be darned unique for a very long time to come! |

| JohnK. As someone who writes for a living you ought to be ashamed of yourself. ![]() Make sure you bring it down next time you visit. I would rather see it properly. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| <heretic alert!> Now I appreciate the craftsmanship and the technology that has gone into this riser, and I like wood a lot, but it does nothing for me. By that I mean that I don't covert a bow like this at all, so even though the wood is nice I have no desire to own either this bow or one like it. Strange that. Even though I am a technologist and shiny always does it for me, I don't shoot compound. But that said, seeing some of the new stuff that Bowtech have in their catalogue this year has raised some issues in the financial controllers mind. I quite fancy a pair of border limbs though ![]()

| WOW! That has turned out great. I think I was with you when Sid found it...I have to say I wasn't sure how it would turn out but full marks to Border. It is amazing what you can find lying around at Border... I only went to discuss woods for my Reiver, they had the perfect bow just waiting for me!
