Malcy borrowed a little 62" recurve bow from us, and said he enjoyed shooting with no gubbins. This was with a 1 hour instinctive crash course we layed on for him :-)

That little DAS was great...it's certainly still on my wish list, although I'm still waiting to see your version of it.

I seem to remember that a long long time ago (about 12 to 14 years) there was a 24 hour event at field archery that was in the Guiness Book of Records

Some of the team or people involved were with Kenwith and Elmtree

Maybe there is someone on here that remembers it

Shame your not allowing sights or we would come on up, as we shoot Borders as well, but its a long way from down here, although we will be at the Scottish Champs in a couple of weeks, so only a little bit further

with the rain we had at our summer shoot, we were advised on rubber cheques... Dont know why!!!

Anyhow, The banks up here dont cash cheques with hundreds writen on them... they said they need numbers. Pedantic banks!

Re-think

We have been thinking,

We had a chance to chat to some compounders this weekend. They shot the course on sunday, they came up for our open shoot, and said the course was good fun. With that note, a quick conversation happened with this thread in mind.

We have decided to drop our pre-concieved idea that compounders wont like the course.

Feel free no mater what bow you shoot.

Sid

I would have loved to come over for this and would have brought a team, but its the weekend of the French 3d Championship and so I can't !

Will be game any time in the future though - good luck with it.

Still no gubbins allowed then? I love the idea, wonder if the Oxford usual suspects could be persuaded...
