| Black Douglas ILF Shoe & 17" Riser Plan The Reason for this post is for feedback. The Geometry is set. Its what we feel makes a good bow. BUT there are many features on a riser that some folks want and not others. we are not going to entertain SKY dish attachments and CB Radios, but its just in design stage, and your Feedback is more than welcome. Finite element anlysis will be applied to the initial design, bet here you go... First of all: ILF SHOE PDF is 3D so you need the latest Acrobat reader This is our shoe idea. It will fit to a Black Douglas Riser. This will allow you guys to fit ILF limbs to a nice fancy wood riser if you please. We Plan on making it weight releaved as standard, and singles that dont. This will allow the user to add some weight to the top or bottom of your riser in which ever way you please. Our next project we are working on. 17" Riser Again 3D PDF. Latest reader needed. This is a 17" riser, we plan on 17",19",21",23" and 25" This will match our Black Douglas Range. The idea of the shoe, will allow the Archer to select bolted, fixed limbs. This should limit the number of vairables, and fix down any potential areas of loosening bolts and allow for a more optimised bow geometry etc. Or Attach the shoe and go ILF. The weighted shoe will allow for some mass balance tuning. The Bolted fixed limb idea will use our Black Douglas Limbs. and ILF is ILF. What do you think? Feed back greatfully recived. :-) |

| Sid, That looks really nice. Looks like you did alright coming up with a unique look in the limited real estate of the 17" platform. As we had discussed previously. The main feature I look for these days in a barebow riser is provisions for integral weights. I think these can be a possible benefit to stabilizer shooters but definitely a barebow shooter. The ability to offset them is nice as well. Looks good keep up the work and let us know when other lengths will be available. Nice to have unique good quality riser options out there. |

| Also as mentioned before. No limb alignment. Make the riser straight and use straight limbs. As Pete mentioned it looks like it is already crowned like a Gamemaster so I would only add some kind of provision for building out the side if needed for those who shoot off the shelf. Of course a plunger hole for a plunger for those of us who prefer that route. I would also add AMO holes for stabilizer and sight/quiver mounts. A hole on the belly side for the attachment of a back weight or STS would be very nice as well. |

| As it's such a short riser, it looks as though there's no provision for a clicker, or clicker plate? Would these be available in the longer versions? Or would that be heresy?! It's already been mentioned about people who would shoot off the shelf, but would that be practicable, bearing in mind the shelf is radiused? Out of interest, what CAD products do you guys use? It looks remarkably like a Catia drawing, but I can't believe you'd use something as "complex" as Catia for something like this? They are both nice models though!

Yes the longer ones would get clicker plates ect. Scooter. We are planning on a Limpit style weight that will screw in to the side of the riser. The idea is for a Double plunger button on the risers that can fit it, which at present looks like them all. We will be using AMO for the sight and stab inserts, and we are looking at Some form of back weight... Still to be decided as to how we are going to implement this one. The limpit Idea will allow for more bottom weighting and for more vertical mass symetry Pete the shelf, is, or should have a nice radus on it. CAD drawing are different to real life, but so far so good... BTW: we are looking at a dark ano shot blasted bottle green at present, but we are in descussions... This will help fend off scratches, and profide a non slip textured surface. That will be tree stand friendly. No glare either, as you dont want it in your riser to blind you |

| Ahh, thought so - Solidworks is Baby Catia! ![]()

| Another feature that is nice to have is some kind of standardized grip. My current risers can use a Avalon style grip and this is a nice feature as I can swap my Loesch grips around a bit. Done correctly the riser could be rounded off for those that want to shoot with the grip removed or with grip for those that want that. |

| I think it look and sounds great. But then I love the 17" DAS Master. bug |
