Border Talisman same as Best Zenit?

Hello, this is my first post here, even though I have extrapolated a ton of useful information from previous threads!

I am a burgeoning Border fan, purchased a Black Douglas from Sid a year ago. Since then I sold my Hex4 limbs to afford an upgrade to Hex5 wood core limbs and love them!

Now I'm getting into FITA and Field Archery competitions. I ran across a previous statement or two that the Border Talisman riser was in fact the same as the Best Zenit. Does anyone know if this was true? If so, was it made in Italy and re-badged by Border or the other way around? I haven't seen any Border Talismans for sale anywhere so are they quite rare?

I've sent an email to Sid asking what the differences may be between the Talisman and his more recent risers, Mistral and Cylcone, if anyone can expound on that one as well. Thanks, from a newbie from the USA!

Best Regards.

I used to shoot a Talisman... the name badge fell off once and had Best Zenit on one side and Talisman on the other.

originally we asked Best to Provide a riser for us, as we used to make limbs for Best. We did not have control of manufacturing as it was made in Italy. Due to a misshap in relationships, we stopped supplying limbs to Best.
We were to sell world wide, and best had Italy. we found risers being sold in france.

We then found an agreement with Merlin, in a similar style of limb/riser exchange, but this transaction failed to work either.

We are currently in full design stage for our own riser as we want to defend our geomtery concepts.

So, in short, your right. we will get 100% of our ideas in the market as fast as we can.

Okay, thanks. I've heard good things about the Zenit and thought one with the Border name on it might be even better! Also was interested in feedback on the Cyclone and Mistral designs.

If you don't already have one, I have an idea for a name for your new riser; Paradox. Kind of a neat archery name. The Border Paradox. Always have liked trying to think of good names for things. You're welcome to use it if it suits your fancy.

Are your CNC handles likely to have barebow weight kits or natural balance?

No seriously is it? After all if a British company made a riser that equalled the barebow prowess of the Best Zenit I'd be all over it like a cheap chiffon nightie!
