| HEX4 limb-tip repair? Hi Sid's I've been shooting my 53# BD Ultra with HEX4 limbs out in Afghanistan for the past few months..VERY HOT! Recently a piece of laminate on the tip of the upper limb string-nock came off, and now the string is wrapped around a fairly sharp piece of nock when strung. Can I send the limb in to get repaired? For info: I shoot CX heritage 250 shafts with a 125 grain tip and a 29 inch draw. Overall arrow weight about 500grains. Regards Steve | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| Which, given Border's reputation for customer service, is unlikely!

| Just in case anyone else is wondering..this is an honest request. Anyone who has dealt with Sid previously knows he doesn't shy away from any feedback and will also know how inundated he is with personal 'agony-aunt' emails. Given the current status of the border web-site and the fact that I am currently on the other side of the world, this forum is arguably the best option, and maintained by the right people! PS, did I say what a dream by BD Ultra is to shoot? | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| Sid stands by his limbs like no other! He deserves a gold medal for how much he has helped me, which is why I always buy Border limbs. I don't doubt for an instant that he will do everything he can for you. Kae. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| No worries... and cheers for the kind words from folks here. Send me a photo to Sid "AT" Borderbows.com and we can see what the best way to go about getting you shooting/getting the limbs fixed. Also we need the serial number and we will get back to you. Sounds like you might have some horn overlays on your Black Douglas limbs (not a target limb issue) We have moved away from the buffalo horn overlays, as the poor old buffalo only needs to have a cold, or a bad diet, and you get a weak bit in the horn. This will appear at somepoint as a tip issue. This seams to happen to about 1 in a very few bows. |

| Just to finish off this thread; I'm back in UK now and I spoke to Ann about the limbs a couple of days ago. I'll either be up in Mellarstain in person within a few days, or the limb's will be in the post shortly. Thanks for the feedback all the same | ||||||||||||||||||||||
