Smile Chuffed after last night (Minor achievement)

Was out shooting in the rain last night - it was actually a very pleasant evening to shoot....very still.

Anyway...got to the field and a target was already setup for a couple of wheelie blokes at 70m. Previously I had only shot to 50m.

Thought what the hell....shot the 70m anyway. Not only did I manage to hit it comfortably, I even managed to get a few golds.

Just a minor achievement, but I wa chuffed anyway

Great feeling isn't it ?? when you actually hit a target that you think you've not got a hope in hell of reaching when you start !!

Well done !!

I know how pleased I was when I first hit 70m, and I'm still chuffed everytime I do it, cos frankly it's still a bit of a random hit and miss affair (a few more hits than misses now though thankfully !!! )

Thanks.....Once I got the sight right, it didn't seem to be much of a problem. Only had a couple miss after the first end.

I just kept telling myself that its the same as hitting 20m - seemed to work!!!

That's the spirit

I too shot at a target at 70m last night. Couldn't be bothered to change the face though. Golds at 70m on an 80cm face are even better, if rarer

The people that know these things will say that every shot is the same - regardless of distance - the only change is in the 'mechanics', not the execution....you're taking the right approach I reckon!
