Unclassified No More

At 8pm on Saturday I decided to enter the SFAA hunter round at Wolfstar In East Lothian. I'd been entered to shoot a double fita, but 29 mph wind rain and forecast 50mph gusts helped common sense prevail. The forecast for Sunday was better, but still windy so I decided I didn't want to ruin the good work I've done on form shooting in bad conditions. The woods would be sheltered, it thought.

Wolfstar is a bit exposed in places and 6 targets (twice) were affected by the wind. At least with no timing I could come down three times for each arrow if need be.

The end result was a PB 507 and my first A class score. I now have a B class and an A class score on my card, so I am a B class archer, until the next shoot

Well Done, Mike !!

Penicuik was great fun for me ... but then I just loved the challenge of trying to stand upright at full draw !!! WINDY ??? That has to be the understatement of the month !!! It was abandoned on Saturday after the first distance, but Sunday was OK. My score was nowhere close to what I acheived at Ayr, but loved the shooting anyway ! Maybe catch up with you somewhere else ?

Well done Mike - nice shooting.

Saturday was a challenging day - the wind seemed light at times, but it was worse than anybody realised (as evidenced by the low scores).

Anyway - sounds like you had the right idea. See you at Monklands!
