New PB- getting there- and thanks

My first ever six gold end!
Only at 50 yards, but in a league match -under competition conditions - in changeable weather.
Yesterday saw me achieve my personal best so far for an albion - 796! - and so close to my mini goal of 800 that it's nearly enough to choke on!
Our club was decidedly under pressure when Dave Collins ( of Ardleigh - lovely bloke & excellent shooter) put in a very creditable 900 off of my target.
Dave was 50 odd points ahead after the first distance, but through conversation and by giving a few tips- the final difference was Only 104 points

I hadn't previously shot on a target with anyone of that calibre, but what a pleasure to get trounced by a gentleman....and still win the team competition.
For sure shooting with better archers has to be the way to push yourself - or be pulled along to better performances.
I'm well chuffed even today with myself - but know thats basically down to all those that are willing to share their knowledge, their time, and their experience with others having the same love of this very noble sport.

So thanks - everyone on AI - and outside of it that like to 'put a bit back in to archery' and truly enjoy seeing 'good arrows' -no matter who shoots them.

Congratulations on your PB! It's always frustrating when you shoot one and it's only just off a personal goal.

One step at a time...

Cheers!....and then you look back on the scoresheet - and think - "now how did I let that Three go?.... if only I'd let down!" etc etc..
