Recurve Bowman

Well I have finally hit it! 3rd bowman score was scored last night!!

Not bad considering I have only been shooting/practising for the last 3 months.

Next year MB, with lots of practise over the winter!!

Thanks

Couple of things to do, in no particular order

* stop watching the arrows (only on the longer distances - no spotting scope)
* get used to clicker (only been using for 2 - 3 weeks now)
* tune the bow
* tune arrows
* new clicker, current one is not smooth pushed in
* new limbs, moving from m1s to winex
* get used to new titan recurve scope

lots of points to be had I think....

Zero to Bowman in 3 months is a great achievement - well done!

The step from Bowman to MB is a doozy for most however, so don't become discouraged if you don't hit it first year. The title "Master Bowman" doesn't come lightly!

Best of luck...

Unfortunately no, I was 1st class at the beginning of the year, so depends how you view 1st class

I have a lot of work to do over the winter so should be good!! Looking forward to it, actually

Definitely is a big step, not as big as MB to GMB I am guessing...

Bowman score for a Gents FITA is 1065... MB is 1190 (so you see the differance in score..

MB to GMB i think is less of a jump in score... but its much harder to find the points to get to that level

Do you mean "new button"? I wasn't aware that you could push a clicker in.

What's up with the M1's, they'll take you to GMB easily?

yes, sorry, the button

the m1s warped, one day at the line (1st shot) I noticed the string was not quite right, when trying to clip on the arrow. bottom limb was out by about 2 inches (off straight). Its now settled more, but its still slightly out.

Are you sure it's the limb and not the riser?

2 inches!!! Surely that puts it outside of the bow altogether?
