Thumbs up Me too

I'm in the same boat.

I've managed to put in two first class scores over the last two weeks, due to my nice new cartel triples and clicker. But the problem is we can only shoot from 1830 onwards which only gives you about and hour and a half to get a round in

Till last week I only had four Triples so a round was slow going, tomorrow night, Long National, First class score, Positive thinking thats the key.

Good luck to everyone trying to pinch it at the end

Paul

I know a lot of clubs will be about to return indoors but I'm not going in 'til I have to! Its glorious out there at the moment and I couldn't stand looking at the blue sky out of the window, however short lived. You've got until the end of the year to get your scores - just shoot quickly

running out of time

Its getting tight but find a club with its own field and you still have until christmas to get the scores in, most clubs will let you shoot as a visitor for a small fee there are bound to be a few bright weekends when the out doors season finishes. Us being lucky can do a york all year round if we want and soon hope to have iluminated 50 mtr and 90 mtr permanant bosses out for the really sad ones amongst us

We are allowed to use the field at anytime as long as the school is not using it, as long as there are two senior club members shooting. But would they qualify toward a Bowman score as they are not official club sessions?

Bit of a moot point.

Since classification Bowman and below are administered by the clubs, it would really be down to your club as to whether they would accept it.

My feeling is that as long as there are other present that would be prepared to sign off on the score sheet, and you follow all the GNAS rules of shooting (6 sighters, etc) then you would be morally justified in claiming it.

Check with your club's records officer.

Best of luck

Hiya - well Done on Sunday !

Just a thought - I'm sure I seem to recollect our secretary saying something along the lines that there were thoughts about keeping a morning session outdoors in parallel with indoors if there is enough interest and it's not too bad ... ?? Has that died a death or is it still a possibility ???? If they do, that surely will be a properly announced club day and satisfy the regs. Have a word with him - or raise it at the AGM next week.
I (and Mrs Grepless) for two would quite enjoy carrying on outdoors for a while.

Cheers

Grep.

And the point in keeping standards 'up' when the governing body chooses to drive them down is....?
A previous thread (so long ago I can't be bothered to look for it) suggested that the way to go with the 'target day' thing was to put in the clubs constitution that any standard club session was a 'target day' - thereby fulfilling the requirement of being previously announced - and therefore as long as the score is verified then its valid.
Anyhow - if things go the way suggested then club scores will be differently classified to tournament scores and I suppose people will credit accordingly.
