Potential for making an ass of myself?

Hi one and all,

Can someone confirm or put me right about the following please before I submit my scores tomorrow evening and potentially make an ass of myself ?

On Sunday morning I shot 4 dozen arrows at 50 yards and 4 dozen at 60 yards and this was seen and scoring confirmed by other members in the club.

1st question: is this a "Western" Round?

2nd Question: (obviously irrelevant if the answer to Q1 is NO) My score for this was 651 for 95 hits (strong gust caused one missed shot) am I correct in thinking that the minimum score for 2nd class archer at this round is 595 and therefore my score counts as the first of 3 needed to claim 2nd class?

I'm trying not to hold my breath but it would be rather nice if I was right

Not an ass (I think)

Its a Western as long as....

You shot four dozen at 60 yards THEN four dozen at 50 yards (rather than in the order you've put in your post)

So if that's a yes and you were shooting recurve, then its a yes to the first of the second class scores too.

If it was as windy where you were shooting as it was where I was shooting, that was a good days shooting!

Short Western
A western is 60 yds, 50 yds

Edit: scratch the above, misread your post

Oh blast, that's a shame. I shot the first 4 dozen at 50 and moved up to 60

Oh well stopped me from handing the scores in tomorrow. Thanks for clearing that up, now where's that bottle........

Like Rob said - well above the requirement for second class!

To save anybody looking its RoS rule 309 (Ok, sad I admit, but I'd thought I'd better check before someone asks!)

Good luck Panama - keep up the good shooting.
