3rd place in 1st open shoot
Hey everyone.
Proud boyfriend here just wanting to publically embarrass my one and only, Kitty (AIUK Newbie).
She shot her first open shoot on Sunday at the Greenwood Osterley open Western, won bronze in the Ladies recurve and in the process, slaughtered her PB by 69 points!!!!!!

Well done baby I'm proud of you

When was this shoot held? I'd loved to have done that Western?

hehe, Thanks for the intro, Si

The shoot was pretty good... and the best bit is, there were parts of it where I know I was shooting pants! so there's room for woopin my PB again!

Thanks for all your congrats too - keep the "How to reward Si's gal for doin so well" comin in

Tell ya one thing tho, my body didn't half complain the next day!


The shoot was on Sunday (7/10/07), and lookin at their webbie, there's no more planned westerns. I'm sure there's gotta be some sort of place you can look up what shoots are being done where and when???

I have an online calendar list of shoots that are within about an hour of Greenwood Osterley's ground, with application forms and the latest sets of available results for each shoot too. Take a look here

The site is run by me, and it's not affiliated to any archery forum, so apologies in advance to local clubs for any ommissions. I'm happy to add other local shoots though.

There's also Mayflower's tournament diary which is far more comprehensive, but is national, not local. You'll find that here and follow the link to tournament diary.

Glad you had a good time at your first competition - are you sure it was at Greenwood Osterley though? I think I might have remembered it, if it was!
