Finally broke the Portsmouth 500 barrier yesterday...

Was shooting at Cluny clays yesterday afternoon with a few of the chaps from the club. Started off pretty poor, but appeared to sort out my alignment problems to come back with a storming 2nd half.

Ended up with 512!!! 23 up on my previous PB....

there will be no stopping you now (seriously... once you've broken 500 you should leap up to about 540-550 within a few weeks)

That's nice to know. My Portsmouth PB was 515 about 3 years ago. I didn't bother much until last month when I shot 518. I was also at Cluny and took my PB up to 521. Race you to 550 Darthter.
Oh, wait a minute, I'm playing with my bent stick for the next few weeks. Is this a dilemma I see before me?

Don't worry....so will I be!!!

We'll just need to get 500+ with the sticks.

unless youre me when you break 500 for the first time at the start of the indoor season and then immediately slump back to 460 / 470 for the next 4 weeks which is actually below your average of around 490

Hmm I must've been a slow starter. I hovered around 500 for about 4 years with some pretty big peaks and troughs.

Then I changed from a wooden bow to my Stylist and I nailed 540 within weeks and never looked back Hmm... maybe my kit was holding me back

Well done Darther - you've got the best of kit... no excuses!!

We've fairly recently found out that we can actually fit a portsmouth into the hall that we shoot in, so hopefully be able to keep over the 500 mark from now on!!!
