Hi all! I'm sorry I've been away for a bit, but things have been rough arround here, then so buisy, my posting has fallen seriously behind.
I've been encouraged to post an update by someone here on the board *cough click cough* about what has been happening as of late!
Well, last year found me looking for work up untill the day before we were scheduled to leave for the US National Target tournament in Colorado Springs, CO. While there, my daughter Miranda had a chance to meet up with the National Head Coach Mr. KiSik Lee. He looked her over and invited her to try out for the US Junior Dream Team! For those of you who don't know, it's a group of 24 young athletes that train directly under the National Head Coach, and travel to the Olympic Training Center in California 4 times a year. Well, to make a long story short, she made the team!
I'll fast forward to last month, where she attended the US National Indoor Championships. She shot a great tournament, turning in two personal bests in a row, earned her Bronze Olympian, and got first place the Cadet class! To top it all off, she applied for 4 records in her class, and was informed that she was eligible under FITA rules to set records in the classes above hers, so she also got 3 Junior records as well! I'm just so proud I could burst!
Now she's looking at becoming a JR USAT member, qualifying for the Junior Worlds, and the Junior Olympics as well. Looks like we've got our tournaments cut out for us for the next couple three years anyway.
