Recognition of our shooter's success is very important to me as a way to promote and improve the club. The only way we improve is to shoot against better archers. The only way to get better archers is to develop our own which then attracts other top shooters. In the last 5 years our club has seen a big influx of competitive shooters wishing to improve. Interestingly enough the 4 above are all DVA projects with only Erika being an import (and she never shot compound before coming to DVA)

Well done to your club Marcus! I just noticed from your link that you have Nicole Pless shooting for you. I met Nicole along with Kathryn Jankovic when they came over to the UK for the Junior World Championships in 2004. They were staying with friends and family in West Yorkshire and came up to Spen Victoria Archers to practice. Lovely girls and a great inspiration for all the juniors. Sadly, the archery field at Spen was lost to that club early this year due to finalcial pressure from the Cricket club. Do pass on my regards.

Yes Nicole started archery at DVA. I coached her leading into that trip. (she is now coached elsewhere)
She is shooting at the Worlds in Mexico again this year.
