First Ever Round

Not counting the Lessons I have been shooting since Mid Feb. I Did a Windsor on Saturday for the Grand Prix, it is the first round I have ever scored, Ok it was not officially scored by a second but It was a proper round only 6 sighters etc. I Managed to score 830 points which I am quite pleased with (Compound Bow Of course ), No Misses but it was close Forgot to change the sight when I moved to 30Yds . It was a bit windy 15 or 20 mph so I am going to have another go this weekend see if I can improve before submitting a score.

It's an exciting time when you start to score rounds. Did you notice any differences between that and the normal shooting that you have been doing?
It would be interesting to note them down and the scores so you can compare later. I started 24 years ago and still have my first score pad. Makes interesting reading!!!
I can remember my first clout competition. I think I scored 9 points-and that was a double clout !!!
All the best
Geoff

I have Robbos Score Sheet downloaded and will fill it in to keep track of progress, but will probably keep the pad for prosperity.

Cant say I noticed a difference in my shooting, but I have not been shooting long so have no real reference, we have a club shoot in a week Short Metric I will see if some competition puts me off or not.

No Much Smaller Club - Lutterworth They Have Their own field 4 miles from my house and are very friendly. It is a small internal shoot not an open one. May go to a competitive shoot later in they year.

the trouble with my scorecards is that it does the maths correctly!...I often get home feeling a bit excited after shooting a good round, only to punch the numbers into my spreadsheet to find I had cocked the sums up on the line and the score ain't as good as I thought it was Managed to give myself 20 extra points the other day, god knows how

LOL - thought that was just me, one week during the winter I drove home all happy believing I had just achieved a PB for a Portsmouth round - turned out I was in fact 3 below my PB, now I just don't bother to add up on the line !!

I managed to add and Extra 100 points on a round today , Not been shooting long enough to realise I had scored more than was possible for the round until I put it into the sheet.

I dont mind it was still an improvement new PB I guess, Im keeping quiet about the score until Ade submits his score dont want to make it too easy for him

It was a lovely afternoon to be standing around in a field, though I think I have burned the top of my head Mental Note to remember the Sun Block tomorrow.
