| Aparantly not GNAS or Fita...Australian! Don't ask me why. Us Girlies shot 145m, 36 arrows on a 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 face. Eldest Brat shot 100m, Him Indoors did 165m, and the compounds did 185m, I think. I'm going to try a GNAS size this weekend. So I'll let you know how the difference feels.

| I suspect you will need a stiff whisky! In the review of clout a few years back, the US delegate refused to accept the GNAS clout size, because he would find it "humiliating". So be sure to congratulate anyone who has a six-HIT end! But much more fun that Target!

| Clout shooting has to be my favourite archery. What puzzles me is why it has such a lowly status. Many high scoring archers will not bother to shoot clout. Why should that be? The target is 180 y away. The size of the scoring zone is large but hitting golds is not as easy as it looks. The target is flat and therefore more difficult to get the right distance than it is to get the right height in an upright target. A two way clout even requires separate sight marks unless the air is perefctly still. A huge challenge and a huge amount of fun. ![]() |

| I too realy enjoy clout. Its amazing how relaxed I am and seemingly easy it is - and it really surprises me how much rubbish I let get in my head when pointing at little concentric circles at 80m that just isn't there nearly twice as far away and I can't see the target. Shows how much of this sport is phsychological.

| clout is just the best form of archery and it seems to be attracting many more to it at the national clout last year i think there were well over a hundred |

| I like to use clout for training purposes too. It allows you to see what happens to the bow arm on release as it is so close to the line of sight. It is similar to blind shooting in the way it allows you to focus on the quality of the execution with no distractions from looking at the result. With normal target shooting there is often a clouding of the execution by the level of the score. "That's good it's a ten," when it was badly shot. |
