| I'm still waiting to get lucky in competition. Twice last year I was on 5 golds and shot a red with the 6th arrow (at 70m btw - I'm not that good). Yesterday at Clophill I was shooting fairly well - the good arrows were going down the middle. With the sun behind, shadows on the face made it hard to see exactly where your arrows were. On the 4th end I knew they were there or there abouts. Got to the last arrow and had a *MONSTER* flinch. Got to the boss and had 10,9,9,9,9,1. Doh!! Oh well, it's bound to happen soon. Simon |

| Getting that last gold can be tricky. You have to teach your self that its not that hard and just do a normal shot. If you think about it you will never hit it. I should know im one of the worst.

| Of course, there is another way......(I would be told off for this now!!) Use your scope to shoot your sighters then leave it back on the equipment line - that way you can't see if they are all in the gold. I did this yesterday when I shot a western (lazyness because I spend more time messing with the scope and it detracts from my shooting - something I must conquer!!).

| If ive got reasonable sightmarks and I'm shooting ok I dont even use my scope for sighters, I just check everytime I return to the equipment line. |

I agree... my oracle says you must always use your scope - at all distances, as it is part of your shot.

I use a pair of binoculars to check sighter's, then just shoot the rest. Kae. |
