Aussie Nationals

We have just finished the field aspect of the Aussie Nationals.

I achieved my first goal, which was get through it without any major disasters having just moved to an Evolution. I finished 17th with a pair of 338's. Quite a bit off my PB's but that's OK. Within a point or 2 of what I have been shooting lately.

Erika however did great. Behind after the first day by 3 points she put in a very nice 350 today to win by a comfortable margin. This is her first National Field title (and the first one she has competing in in 3 years) and teh first women in Australia to win all 4 titles.

Tomorrow we start the target. Not expecting big scores as teh wind is terrible. (one of my students, Sten, who is usually in the 1340 range shot 1233 today, and that was pretty good)

First day of target is done. Mixed conditions. Erika is leading after a 1350 and I am about 15th (I think) with a 1315. Happy with that. Much lower than I am use to but I used teh Evolution well in teh windy conditions.
Clint Freeman is leading Mens Compound with a 1372.
David Barnes shot a 323 for 90m with a stick bow.

Good shooting guy's. Good score from Barnes. Was wondering where he had been when he wasnt at Korea and why Tim had shot so poor. Is Tim back on form since his poor form at korea?

Wow, what a crap day! Awful wind. Clint Freeman shot 1337ish and Erika 1324. Erika won her 3rd straight National target title so I am a proud husband.
I was shooting OK till 30m where I could not get my back loaded up enough with the Evo release and shot a 321 (same as my 50m score) so a bit annoyed.

Pat Coghlan won Mens Compound with an incredible 1373 today. David Barnes won mens recurve (unsure of score) and Deonne Bridger Womens Recurve.
