| at the Lincoln EMAS World Record Status Double FITA Star, we produced hard copy results for people to take away within 20 minutes of the last score board being handed in. Results on our website within 8 hours and everyone who gave us an email address received results within 24 hours. Postal copies in 48 hours. Now that's efficient, but if we can do it..... |

| We generally get sent results for SAA shoots in the week after a competition. Usually at the beginning of the week as many organisers manage to have someone at a computer during the day entering the distance totals if its a Fita. Really though if they've used the good old fashioned paper method for sorting out the winners then its up to the organiser as to when they manage to compile results electronically and as we all know "The best laid schemes o’ mice an’ men Gang aft a-gley". I would guess though that there is a time limit for returning results of a record shoot to GNAS. Anyone?

| It amazes me that around the world results are still considered an after thought. For the last 6 years we have been doing the results displayed online the same day of the event. Works great, the competitors love it and so do those who were unable to compete. It's so easy and fast to do.

| I've been to several shoots that have sent out the results later that evening (some were waiting for me by the time I drove the 50 minutes back home). I've also been to several shoots where I was never emailed a results sheet, it wasn't posted online and they didn't mail anything out. Like Marcus says, it should be a quick and easy thing to do and I would love to see more tournaments producing a results sheet that could be downloaded or taken away with you within 30 minutes of the last arrow being shot. |

However if this was not the case and all event results were 100% first time then yes online results would be better for every one.

| We try and let anyone who wants a copy take them away, a pdf is generated at the tournament and then we upload it to our website usually the same day, sometimes the next day - it just depends how much wet kit we have to sort out. A common issue we have come across is that within a club the guy producing the results is not always the guy who has access to the webserver or club email accounts. We used to have this very situation until about 9 months ago and we were often 3 months or more behind in results. One option would be for club webmasters to make their site accessible with a program such as Adobe Contribute Adobe - Adobe Contribute CS3 This would allow the person in charge of the results access to the results page via password and they could add a new link and upload the results from any web browser. I am sure there are other solutions but at least this would give the results people access to the results area without compromising the rest of the website.
