What's this all about then?

What it's about is knowing where we are coming from - metaphorically speaking.

Most of us are 'amateur' archers - we all do a job throughout the week and shoot for enjoyment in our spare time. There are among us some whose involvement in the sport has a commercial aspect - they work for archery retailers, or make archery goods - maybe as a apare-time activity. This is great, and we need to have input to the forum from all corners of the archery world. But as the forum grows, it becomes more and more important for all of us to know who has a commercial interest when reading their posts - we can then place whatever comments may be made in context.

For those of us who do have a commercial interest in the sport - please use this thread to tell everybody else what you do - maybe you're a retailer, a bowyer, or someone who makes fine leatherwork to order. Blatant advertising will not be allowed, and use of AIUK for trading will not be tolerated, but a description of your products or services and a link to a website, or an email address to facilitate trading off this forum will be welcome.

Those who have some commercial interests, having posted here, may thereby regard themselves as having 'declared their interest'; this will obviate any need to include such information in other posts on AIUK. It becomes contingent on the rest of us to read this thread and bear such information in mind.
