Compounders beware Italian bosses
Take one brand new Italian manufactured boss, one 54 LB compound shooting 3-39 ACC's at 50m. Result 3 arrows just like this:

Shot on a brand new one of these a couple of months ago and it was taking three of us to pull each arrow. Luckily no damage to the arrows.

Sorry, but I'm new here and that picture is badly out of focus.

What exactly has happened to that arrow?

I use FMJs and XX75, so I have aluminium exteriors.




This carbon arrow. Has the carbon separated away, or what?

Is this done by the boss when the arrow entered, or by the force required to remove it?


I thought Danage were supposed to be the best, not the worst. Before I joined here, I remember reading as a guest a thread where they were being praised.

No idea where they came from. They belong to Sherwood Archers and where being used at their double 70m & FITA last weekend. Even saw 3 people struggling to pull out recurve arrows

What Jerry meant was Buy Danage Not Straw, as they are better, it was straw boss that has done the damage, or more precisely the excessive amount of adhesive they use in these poor quality Bosses that causes the damage.
