Pin nocks and glue?

After searching the forum I'm not too sure of what is best.

I have a set of new (pre-made) arrows with metal pins fitted into the shaft and a nock then pushed onto the pin.

These nocks are free to turn, and while not falling off don't inspire confidence because they are so new that they are a tight fit on the centre serving of the string - and I 'm worried that they will go adrift when shot.

Is the clingfilm / ptfe method still useful even on small pins?

Would a drop of superglue and acelerator be better?

Which bit is actually loose?

The nock to pin, or the pin to shaft interface?

The pin's should be glued into the shafts (with hotmelt usually) but the nock's shouldn't normally be glued to the pins.

Kae.

What you describe is what I have. Pins to shaft solid. Pins to nock able to turn.

I am concerned about the nock coming off the pin when the shot is loosed. I have only ever before shot a nock/shaft joint which was rock solid.

You such it's the nok-pin fit that's loose? I had a set of Navs with pins in made up last year and they didn't do a decent hotmelt job sticking the pins into the shafts, and they all came loose.

Tell you what, how about you just bin those pins/nocks and get some Beiter in-out nocks?

P.

What size pin nocks do you have? They should fit your string snug but not too tight

No!!! 1, if you damage the nock or get a dodgy flying arrow nock changing is a right royal pain, 2, you may be required to improve fletching clearence want to rotate your nock can't do this once they are glued
