left or right?

Maybe a daft question but does it matter if a scope is left or right handed, i can see that the scale will be upside down, but the scope works the same does'nt it? If the bubble is at the top it still shows level, please excuse recurve ignorance.

As someone who has shot both left and right handed I have simply swapped my sight over from one bow to the other without any trouble.

Looking at the bubble in my Beiter scope I can see that it is slightly bent, so it would only work the right way round, however, my old scope (Merlin I think) the bubble was straight and could be used upside-down. In fact, I think you could swap the thread to the other side so you could use the scope the right way up.

A lot of scopes have a thread both sides so they can be used for both.
