Check you axle retaining clips...

at the county clout weekend before last I was within earshot when a county archer noticed on of his axles looked odd was sticking out one side too much....the retaining c-clip had jumped ship allowing the axle to "walk" out to one side(fortunately noticed before catastrophic failure).

Then again on sunday I was relaying that story to my fellow compounders & someone else found the same situation.(consequentely had to stop shooting as we had no spares).

So

A) check um regular(like before every shoot!)
B) Get some spares......

now where did i write down merlins phone number?.......

OR in my case, make sure you're wearing the bow sling before you loose the first arrow or you'll spend a long time looking for the E-clip when the bow bounces on the floor.
