| Has anyone experienced problems with their X10's suddenly just breaking off at the pile end when being extracting from target bosses? I upgraded all my gear this Summer and included were a set of x10's (tungsten tips) but am rather horrified to find that after just 2 shoots have lost 3 arrows from this problem. Having discussed this with a fellow club member, who just happens to take a keen interest in metallargy, its my understanding that there may be a manufacturing fault. Your comments are invited...

| I know that Easton are aware of the problem and are advising against using Pro Tours in straw bosses, but that's all I know about it (other than its happening). |

| Saw Jonathon Mynott break 5 or maybe 6 on my target (straw) back in August on the first 2 distances of a York round. It didn't help that the A-stand had closely spaced legs, and the back leg was pivotted well below the top of the boss, so he kept hitting it. Seems they dopn't like straw, or wood. |

| I have been shooting Protours for a few months now and will say that I freaking love these arrows. However I also have kept a set of standrad X10's which I use for straw based bosses. I only use the Protours on foam or plastic wrap butts and so far have not broken any. These are a very very thin arrow. It's understandable that they will not stand up to that kind of target butt.

| Send them back to Easton marked "not fit for purpose". IMO, no manufacturer should make an arrow which breaks on impact!! (no matter how good they are for foam-butt shooting) Maybe they should be renamed "X10 protour (foam-only)" to avoid expensive mistakes...

| Um. They do exactly what they are supposed to. They group better than any other arrow. If the points on the board are not what you are interested in, buy a different arrow. |

The Protours do what they are designed to do. Group brilliantly. I would rather have an arrow with the lowest drift and best groups that can only be used in decent targets than one that compromises those 2 things in order for some people to shoot them into cow food.
