0.75 scope at 20yds sharpness possible?

I know there are currently related threads on scope images. But I am keen to know, has anyone managed to get a "fairly" sharp image from a 0.75 scope lens at 20yds without a clarifier.

The reason I am asking, is with my albeit cheap lens and a trupeep micro size. The image is very blurred at 20yds. I know many prefer it that way, but I would like it a bit sharper.

I am interested in knowing if it is worthwhile investing in a better quality lens or will it still be blurred?

yes if I pull my scope right into the bow. But then I probably have different eyesight, face size and shape to you.

I think I have a Petron scope - it is on a sure loc sight.

I shoot a 1.0 at 20 yards and the target is completely blurred, but the circle in my scope is pin sharp - just the way I like it.

When I tried a clarifier the target became pin sharp and my shooting went to pot - I guess its down to personal preference

I use a .75 lens (Zeiss in a Beiter scope) and a small tru-peep and I have no problems. The gold is slightly fuzzy in some lighting conditions, but mostly it's about as sharp as my eye's allow it to be. I use a big (5mm) dot and pull-in the sight extension until it fills the gold.

However, I'm not 100% certain because I've not bee nshooting long. But I'm pretty sure from what I've read on here and been told by knowledgeable people it is more important to be able to get the concentric circles right (which is your sight around the target rings - and your eye will naturally try and do anyway) than to be able to see through it telescope sharp.

Its interesting that those who are reasonably sharp have the sights right in, mine is mostly out. I will try in tomorrow and see how it goes.
