Which Bowstand fits....

I know the answer to this is I need to go into the shop to try them out - and I will when I get five minutes that doesn't invlove child minding, children's parties or xmas shopping !!!!!

But which bowstands work well with the guardian. I am becoming a bit obsessive about it. I orginally had a little cartel normal stand but that dragged the bottom wheel in the dirt. So I swapped to one of the scissor ones that clamp round the bottom limb.

Now this works okay but being a bit cack handed I can usually manage to clamp myself via my finger sling to the bow and I stuggle to find somewhere to put it when not in use (i.e. when I'm shooting). Thinking about how to get stand on and off is taking up too much of my between end time (yes I know I'm sad).

However, I seem to think that the Guardian is tricky to get on a balnce style rest - but wondered if anyone was using one of those rests where it has two points of contact i.e. it holds handle by stab screw and the stab - on thier guardian - or anyother wise ideas.....

I use a Tollgate stand that grips the bow on the riser & string. I've used it with several bows & find it ideal.

I use a cartel kick stand (the scissor ones that clamp round the bottom limb).
It works great for me ,and it fits in my quiver pocket when i'm shooting.

Ahem!!!!

Because I use V-bar and twins on my stabiliser set-up I'm lucky that the twins form a nice tripod with the cable guard, this is good for indoors and smooth surfaces. Outdoors I use a bungee strap wrapped around the top of my spotting scope tripod and passed through the top limb to hang the bow on.

Cheers, Jim.

Cheers all I think I've spotted what I need..... having realised that you can support the bow by the handle with the stab pointing upwards..... doh! need to look more closely at other people's bows when shooting in future.....
