| new arrows for outdoors am thinking of getting new arrows for out doors. will be shooting FITA of course. have previously used ACE, in recurve but am thinking ACE, X ten, or the carbon express nano xr. would really like to hear some unbiased opinions. money for the arrows is not an issue as i believe you get what you pay for. shooting a 2007 commander 29 inch draw at 58 lbs. also need advise on a new arrow rest as i think the cavalier lightening drop away I'm using indoors for the fatboys wont be up to the joby. fairly new to compound so not really sure. any help from those with knowledge very much appreciated.      |

| Budget not a problem then go for X10 Protours, If you want performance, those are the ones for compound to go. I'm a recurve and shoots nanos and they've been great too. |

| The only problem with ProTours is the straw boss issue. I'm in the same boat and will probably plump for some regular X10's cut from the back to stiffen them up a little. |

| Nav FMJ's will be OK going into straw bosses, other eastons might not be.

| As I only went to two venues last summer that weren't using straw bosses I'm not getting pro-tours. Not wanting to mess about with the carbon/non-carbon issues with the nanos they're out of the basket. Now, I was using ACE's last season but I do have a second-hand set of X10s just to try them out. Yet to decide which of these I'm going to be shooting this season.

| I'm guessing because they share a similar diameter to normal Navs but are significantly heavier. That way they'll fly better in the wind but won't struggle to reach the target due to the compounds poundage. As for the blade it depends on the arrow. Dirrferent blades will be used for heavier/lighter arrows. |

| Nano Pro 110grain points, pin nocks 1.5" X-Vanes Trophy Taker II The Nano Pro doesn't suffer the same in straw bosses. They should be available very soon in the UK.
