| Yes, they do twist the d-loop but unless the twist is very tight(as it would be in a very short d-loop) the twist doesn't seem to upset anything. If you used a caliper release with a fixed head, I think that might upset things especially with a very short d-loop. |

| What you should do is apply the "1400 Principle" That is "Does the majority of 1400 shooters use release aids with swiveling heads?" If the answer is Yes, then look at a release with a swiveling head. If the answer is No then why are you worrying about it? In other words, you can get around 90° movement on a Dloop without twisting the rope and affecting the shot position, so forget about this 'feature'. Also don't get a Cascade, they suck. Pick Yourself up a Carter Insatiable 3 or Just Cuz and you will be fine.

| Don't skimp on your release aid, it's THE most important piece of your gear IMO. If you gave me $1000 to buy everything I need for target shooting I would buy my Carter release aid first and then cheap on the rest of the gear.

| Good advise from marcus26 i currently use the carter evolution plus or the chocolate addiction they are both good to use. |
