I've tried heavy springs, but I end up panicking that the release won't go off and my shooting goes to hell.

As you say, it's a personal thing.

I used to shoot with a very light spring (for about 2 weeks) until Adam swapped it for a heavier one. I found that I couldn't get my thumb around the trigger without panicking that it would go off.

Reverse situation for me - too light and I think it is going to go off too soon.

Its a good job we are all different or carter would only be making 1 release with 1 spring

I`m between you and Adam. Too light and i get jittery, too heavy and i panic. I`ve got a nice `in-between` spring that allows me to pre-load the trigger without fear.

When I was looking for a release aid I tried every one I could but with having rumatoid athritis in my finger jointd and wrists my choicewas limited I settled for a carter target 3 release aid and it is fantastic comfortable in my hand even when the athritis has flared up.
