Thinking about a new scope

I've been shooting a cheap Petron scope for a while now (it had different lenses and was a good price so I could choose the power), but now that I've settled on the power of the lens I would quite like to upgrade to a better scope. The ones I've shortlisted are the Beiter, Titan and Speciality scopes (29mm, 1 3/8" for the Titan and Speciality respectively). However, one thing I am a fan of with my current scope is the aiming system - it is a ring with a dot (fairly common). I find that this is easy to aim with as I try and line up the ring with the gold, but even if I am moving about the gold, the dot is still in the middle.

Does anyone have suggestions on which of these scopes is best for the price? I have looked at a Sure Loc Black Eagle, but I can't really see the need for such a pricey scope which may or may not give better clarity.

Thanks.

I looked at various scopes last year and evetually went with a Beiter wth the K lens as I like the choice of accessories you can have with it (I prefer the pin and ring set up as well). The Titan is a very good scope and you cant go wrong with either.

The Specialty is what I'm currently shooting on my compounds. The clarity and quality is awesome and they are comparatively cheap. They do have the lense mag etched on the lense (doesn't bother me, but may some people).

The Titan is a fantastic scope. Super tough... I shot one for years. And it's still going. They are on the heavy side. Good bubble colour options

I also love the Beiters. Great scopes and come with nifty options. But I believe they are pricier.

My choice came more down to the size of the scopes. My sight picture was just better with the specialty.. and that is purely down to my own set up.

Price isn't that much of an issue - they're all in the £60-75 range with very little actual difference between them. I'm very tempted by the Speciality ones as they also look like they let in a lot of light which I would quite like, especially for the next indoor season.

Beiter do a clear body as well.
However if you want a circle then a stick on one is better

From the ones I've seen though the Beiter clear body is in fact fairly cloudy rather than the completely clear body on the Speciality. I'm strongly leaning towards that one, purely for the fact that the only ring/dot combinations for the Beiter have a great big bar running across the middle to attach the dot which I feel may put me off somewhat.

I have only used a Beiter 39. I shoot it with a dot from the "Beiter stick-in-scope-clippy-dot-pack" or somesuch name. I found the bar through the rings very annoying, in fact I use clear pieces on my recurve sight pin but obviously this doesn't work when you *want* to see the ring.

I use the clear body Beiter and although it isnt completely clear it lets a good amount of light in. I also use the pin and ring and find after a while you dont notice the bar across the ring. I know a couple of archers who colour the bar in a light grey and its even less obvious then.
