Elite Synergy XL

I asked about Elite bows a while back, but it looks like the thread must have disappeared in the server crash.

After about 2 and a half years shooting recurve, I have now dipped my toes in the waters of the dark side for the first time.

I must say I am having great fun. I have been going through a real dip with the recurve, and wanted to have something to put a smile back on my face.

I think I will, with time, move back to the recurve as my main bow of choice, but the change of the last couple of week has been theraputic.

Just shot around a 555 Portsmouth for my first scored round, which is close to my recurve PB (despite those small 10s it does not feel too hard). I think a few more weeks and I can push this up a bit more, since I feel my control is coming on leaps and bounds.

Just looking forward to shooting outdoors. Shooting 2 bows must mean I have to spend more time shooting...

I have nothing else to compare it against, since I have never shot compound before, but this seems a sweet bow.

Nice one... 6 more than my 1st effort with the wheelie bow!!! I did shoot my recurve after that first weekend but lack of practice time meant I picked the wheelie bow up instead and now the recurve gear is on ebay

It's easy to get good scores with the wheelie bow but it does take time & effort to get consistantly high scores.... enjoy

Thanks. If I could get my shooting level to what you are achieveing at the moment I would be a happy bunny.

Biggest issue I have at present is the fact there is very little chance of making it in to the county squad with Wheels. With Andy Rikunenko, Jon Mynott and a host of other very good compounders in the county...mind you with the way my recurve dipped last yer I think it unlikely I could make it in recurve either!

Anyway, the point of the exercise is to get a smile back on my shooting face, which it seems to be doing.
