Thanks Max, the penny has finally dropped with me why the need to change nocking points!!! I seem to have had a few strings but never used the same one when changing arrows - maybe I should dye my hair blonde!?? or maybe just another senior moment?!!!!

Regarding nocking point height
I wouldn't worry about it. I set my bow up for X10's and then shoot indoors with 2315's and 3D with Fatboys and all three work well. The key is to set it for the arrow that is the thinnest and the oters will be fine.

INteresting Medoc that you change from a poor long range arrow to a good long range arrow for 30m. X10 to Navigator yes, but ACE to Navigator? Maybe the other way around.
Marcus I was just highlighting the similar diameters of ACE and Navi, FYI, I shoot navigators, but will be evaluating the best arrow FOR ME this outdoors.

I am presuming nothing and going to shoot ace and navi to find the best setup.

Back to Max's thread, I destroyed 5 Navigators in the 2nd half of last summer at 30m, and having to buy a couple of sets a year is frankly out of the question, hence the ACC change.

What is your price difference between ACC and Navs? Over here they are pretty much the same price.
Considered Lightspeeds for 30m?

Hi Marcus, I understand the Lightspeed is a pure carbon. If it is it may not be allowed at some tournament as Pure carbons are not in favour as thy are tricky to find. Shame as quite like some of the older carbons as cheap alternatives. The Beeman Energy is very cheap and use ACC components, I found they shoot OK too. Field archers seem to buy them over here.

Prices per dozen SHAFTS only. and approx as the prices vary shop to shop.

X10 = £220
ACE = £170
Navi = £120
ACC = £80

I guess if you shop around there are some savings but after carriage etc. Im off to Canada in 2 weeks and hope to find some 430 Navis on the cheap.

Not allowed? You are kidding me right? What is wrong with the GNAS? (actually don't tell me, I have a good idea)

Lightspeeds are an awesome arrow, especially for the money, and besides, don't miss!

Planning to pick up a set of X10s for the outdoor season this summer, actually shooting Easton Fatboy shafts in the Portsmouth rounds this winter .. lost a few I'll admit, and I kill nocks faster than I can buy them, but they do help with maintaining X X X

Im afriad there are now lots of tournament entry forms that state, pure carbon arrow shafts will not be allowed to be shot on the field.

Multi use sports pitches and we dont want the ****** or rugby or cricket players skewered with a lost carbon, so no lightspeeds, redlines, bemans, etc.

The world has gone mad, and people who put that on their entry forms want a big slap from LMP for foolishness.
