So standing close to the target where you arnt likely to miss and just think more on what your doing instead of where your hitting may help you aswell. |

| I've tried hinge-type releases, and an Evolution and, whilst I don't like them, I can see that they are useful for building the correct form in the shot. Try it at 2-3 yards on a blank boss, with your eyes closed. It'll take a heap of shots, but you will learn to feel exactly what your body is doing, without any worry about aiming or where the arrow ends up. Once you get the feeling ingrained, go back to your usual distances and try to repeat it: this is the bit where I give up, chuck the BT release away and fish-out my favourite trigger release, BUT the feeling should remain the same either way. | Thanks guys all good. Not shooting tonight so will have a try at some of these things on wednesday now. The other thing was i found my sight marks different from using trigger to back tension. Dont know if anyone else experienced this? maybe its just me.,

| I had different sight marks too, but I don't use a peep so the location of the release against my face changes with the release aid being used. If you use a peep, could the reason be that with a trigger you anticipate and do something that changes the sight or reference position without your being aware of it? Perhaps the extra pull into the stops gives you a better follow through;or at least a different one? |

| John Dudley's DVD about the Evolution is a little on the expensive side, but is very helpful in learning how to use and set up a Carter BT.

| There are also a couple of good articles on his website explaining the same sort of thing as the DVD for free - namely the importance of the front shoulder being properly set. |

| I used to have quite different sight marks between my target 3+ and my evolution, but the sensation and evolution are the same. I think that the slightly different shapes of the 3+ and evo meant that although my hand was in the same place on my face, the nocking point was at a different height whereas with the evo and sensation the shape of both are the same. |

Tip I picked up on this forum [courtesy of Geoffretired I think] is to set your sight low and just aim at the previous arrow...should eliminate contact as they will form a nice vertical line I rub a bit of soap on my arrows...they come out just fine |
