My new nocks should be here tomorrow (beiter). Any golden rules to follow when installing these things? Certain indicator or groove facing up etc?

Have the Beiter Logo (groove) facing upwards. I did testing on this and found with it this way I got no fletch contact, but the other way it hit the rest really hard.

Made the other dozen Axis FMJ arrows with 125 grain points. These seem to group better at 30 and 50 meters. I'm still too unstable, to get reliable information on 90 meters other than I can hit 90 meters with a 125 grain point and an arrow that weighs 456 grain in total.

But I guess I can use the 30 and 50 meter experiences to say these arrows are better? Any opinions on this?

/Kenn

Did a lot of practice on 70 meters yesterday evening, sunny conditions with medium easterly wind coming from the left. These were shoot with the 125 grain points. Here is my best group and a PB on 70 meter.

So the Axis is looking great and performing just as well as my navi's

Thats some good shooting there, when u say u r "still unstable" exactly what r u refering to? as my arrows r grouping quite well but seem unstable out of the bow?

have u found much advantage with those max vanes?

Unstable is me hitting the red and the blue for 1-3 arrows out of 6 a lot of times, I find the varying pressure in the bow hand and to much backtension to be my downfalls. These are my struggles at the moment.

Well the Max vanes are there, because I can't find the Bohning 1.5 X-Vanes in any web shop in the EU. Buying from the US is not an option, as there are big fees in danish customs (about 20£ plus the toll). So the Max vanes was the best of the options (AAE Max or FFP vanes).

I find the Max vanes to be very tough, but I know others in my club using a different glue, have troubles with them falling of. My Max vanes stay on, even the times when my arrows went through the backstop and was embedded in the target.

So I find the Max vanes are very tough with the right glue.

i understand, fwd/bck tension is tricky indeed, only help i can offer is your draw length ok? if u r locked out 2 much its almost impossible to be consistent. i found shortening mine slightly made all the difference. i just shortened my d-loop and this gave me much more control and a better feel on the amount of pressure i was applying.
scores and groups are much better now.

and the right glue would be?
i use tims goat tuff which has proved infalable so far, tried the bohning stuff and it was trouser.

i have ordered both xvanes (from us)and max fletch and plan some testing, but if u check my post on "equipment reviews" on main forum page there r already posts on there stating differences etc. doesn't look like u r loosing much with the max fletch though.
