Desperate Merlin post

Hi all,

I'm desperately looking for some old style Super Nova limbs.
One of my limbs delaminated, and because Merlin didn't have any recurve limbs anymore they replaced them with the new straight XT style ones.
So I set the bow up with these, gained about 20 fps and the only thing I could think of is: " I want my old smooth Super Nova back.. "

I've looked all over the place, asked Merlin for some secondhands, with no luck.

So, if you have 60 lbs (with Omega's) recurve Super Nova (or max 3000) limbs in good condition, preferably the old type without the limb skins, and want to part with them, please let me know.

I'm so far gone I'll even considering that even a single 60 lbs syntech limb would do....

if its still for sale, there is a guy selling a bow on ebay which he is calling a supernove. It is not a supernova its just fitted with SN limbs. You could think about buying that, swapping the limbs and then selling his bow with the new XT limbs. If you are lucky you will make a profit.

the bay link is Merlin Super Nova Compound Bow - Easton Fatboy Arrows on eBay, also, Bows Bow Accessories, Archery, Sporting Goods (end time 06-Jul-08 20:00:00 BST)

Thanks Sambow,

Yes I've seen that, contacted the seller but he won't ship it to the Netherlands.
So I keep on looking.. and hoping that Ben reads this and finds some in a dark corner..

If it is any help, we'll be travelling over to Gemert in August and could bring the bow if you bid and win.

Thanks Ratfighter, nice offer!

But I don't think I'm buying from this guy, he seems dodgy to me..
I sent him a message asking about the limbs and the shipping, and the fact he advertizes it as a Super Nova:

"I was actually looking for Merlin limbs, when I found your ad. Just
wanted to warn you that you could be in for a refund selling this as a
Super Nova: It isn't: It's a Merlin Vision Plus (with SN limbs) that is
considerably cheaper." - and then the bit about the shipping - also included a link so he could verify it.

His reply:

"Thanks for the question, but I'm confident of the description which
states ... 'Right Handed Merlin Compound Bow With Their Highest
Specification Super Nova Limbs' etc. Which is what it is."

Well, if you look at the ad, you'll see sells it as a "Merlin Super Nova Compound bow", and in the description he refers to it again as a "Merlin Super Nova Pro Fusion Bow"

So, no dealings with him, and a complaint filed...
