| I'm not 100% sure but, outdoors, compound archers score ten if they get arrows into the normal 10 zone. If the arrow is in the inner zone, it is marked as X and should there be a tie, the archer with more X's will get the higher placing. | |||||||||||

| Outdoors, compound archers score in exactly the same way as recurve archers. So on a metric or FITA round, the outer gold is scored as a nine. Any arrow inside the 12.2cm diameter circle (on a 122cm face) scores a 10. Arrows inside the inner inner gold 6.1cm diameter circle scores as an X. All X's are also 10's, so when you do the math, total your X's and put it in the appropriate column on your scoresheet, then add the number of 10's you have got to the number of X's and put that in the 10's column on your scoresheet. It can be very common for archers to just put the number of 10's they have in the 10's column without including the X's they also have! Judge

| The inner ring in the gold outdoors is an X for all disciplines, the next ring is 10 and then 9 etc. Imperial rounds score 9,7 5 3 1 for all disciplines. Only indoors do comps have their own 10 zone. | |||||||||||||||||

| X marks the spot. Tie breaker, closest to the centre. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Thanks for that, so on Imperial a Gold is in anywhere in the yellow which is why i assume it is called Gold not yellow.
