There are two classes of compound that
GNAS recognise, unlimited and limited. Unlimited compound allows you to use a release aid magnifying scope and level and the bows are limited to 60lbs peak draw weight. Limited compound (the class I shoot in) does not allow the use of a release aid or a scope, so its back to pins and tabs. There are not many archers that shoot in this class, I started originally because age (Old and joints playing up) and money( I could buy an older long compound cheaper than a good fast recurve that would let me get a 90m mark with the sight on the front of the bow.) I shoot with a guy who has a very similar set up to you and over 100 yds I recon that my arrows arrive 1/2 a second before his an interesting comparison as we both use the same spine rated arrows at the same draw lenght his a brand new Hoyt with foam core carbon limbs and my 1980's Oneida. If you decide to go the finger route finger bows usuall have a longer axle to axle lenght and will use a convetional flipper rest and button I shoot the older Oneida just the same as I would a recurve(yes even a clicker) apart from not putting the nose on the string.
