changing cams

Can anybody tell me what is intailed in changing cams on a Mathews bow.as I now need to increase my draw length. I do have the use of a bow press. is it just take one out and put the other straight back?
I am going for a 1" increase in draw length.

To a degree, although you might need a change in string and cables depending on what sort of change it is, what bow it is, what colour curtains you have, etc. Try asking on the Mathews forums, they'll know for sure.

Check with the charts to see if the cable and string need to be changed. Most don't. If it's your first Solo cam bow, draw pictures of the string and cable so they can be returned to their right places. When the cam is removed the strings can get everywhere and it can take ages to get them back the right way round and onto the right grooves.
Also, putting on a larger cam requires more slack from the press than it required to remove the original. From maximum weight setting, they recommend turning the limb bolts out six turns to make the work easier.
It sounds like you are going to use someone else's press. Make sure it is up to the job and that you are clear about using it. It is dangerous. If you have not done this sort of work before I would strongly advise you get help from someone who has.
