How cool is this????!?!?

http://www.air-rest.com/home.htm

What do you think? A chap had one at our club last night. It's just the smartest thing ever. I wonder if they make inserts for ACEs or x10s?

Wonder what happens when it's windy and the arrow is wobbling about in the magnetic field? I bet it takes a while to centre and settle down after full draw too . Still it is a neat piece of kit - very novel. A bit like a whisper biscuit without the whiskers .

Seen this on here before I think, can't find the link though. I guess the magnet will be strong enough t resist the efect of wind. Bet it's a tad tricky to set he nocking point?

The down side is the weight of the insert. You have to be shooting arrows with heavy points so that you can use a lighter point and the magnet You also need to have a firm back wall that is set up accurately so that the magnet will lift the arrow.

A great idea. Mag-Lev. Arrows must be so heavy and stiff.

I read a review that said the arrow took a few seconds (like 3 - 5 ) to settle down in the magnetic field at full draw, also if you did a soft shot the arrow would go low as it only had to come forward a small amount to leave the magnetic field and drop onto the arrow shelf.
That said, it looks like a good idea, it will probably evolve over the next year or so as they iron out the bugs.

Looks great, could imagine the initial set up being a bit fiddly though!

iv heard and seen alot of bad stuff about it. the magnets are extremly powerful so if you pull past your full draw the arrow can actualy come off the string a little bit causing a dry fire (seen it happen) and iv heard a lot of other complaints about how powerful the magnet is and needs to be for it to work.
